Current state, not change
Each entry is a site that qualifies under our rules as of the retrieval date stated in the file. It is not a claim that the condition arose recently. Many will have existed for months.
NYC Cooling-Tower Current-State Signals
Our software reads New York City’s public cooling-tower registry and OATH case records, then applies fixed qualification rules. Each entry includes source evidence for the state observed on the retrieval date. We refresh the list and send it to you again at least four times a billing month. A row does not mean the condition is new.
How it works01 / What you receive
Each entry is a site that qualifies under our rules as of the retrieval date stated in the file. It is not a claim that the condition arose recently. Many will have existed for months.
Software collects the source data, applies fixed qualification checks and excludes records that cannot be validated automatically. Nothing is compiled by hand to order.
BBL is the primary site identifier, with validated BINs used when needed. Each row states why it qualifies and includes the public-record identifiers behind it.
02 / The delivered format
These examples use representative fields and do not identify real sites. Delivered CSVs include borough, BBL and validated BIN values, but no street address or ZIP code.
Illustrative examples using representative fields, not actual sites
| Site | Why it qualifies | Current public-record signal | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manhattan siteBBL and BIN included | Past the 37-day public sampling-gap threshold at the retrieval date | 39 days since the latest publicly reported in-season sample | Registry system ID, sample date, source link and retrieval time |
| Queens siteBBL and BIN included | Service-relevant OATH record within 45 days of the report date, not dismissed and not shown as All Terms Met | Recent sample-reporting record with a qualifying mapped category and public status | OATH violation ID and date, hearing result, compliance status, source link and retrieval time |
| Brooklyn siteBBL and BIN included | A current qualifying violation with an earlier relevant incident that raises confidence | Current mapped cleaning or disinfection record, with a prior incident on a different date within 365 days | OATH violation IDs, incident dates, source links and retrieval time |
The customer file includes borough, BBL, validated BINs, system IDs and relevant OATH identifiers, together with source links and retrieval times. It excludes street addresses, ZIP codes and personal contact records. These examples are not compliance claims about particular properties.
The current customer schema contains no penalty, balance, liability or legal-exposure amount.
03 / Buying
NYC Cooling-Tower Current-State Signals
Business customers only. Paid checkout is not currently open, and requesting a price or sample does not place an order. We intend to use Stripe Managed Payments, subject to availability and activation. The checkout will identify the applicable merchant of record, taxes and payment terms before payment. The Terms of Sale describe the intended purchase terms, and Schedule A describes this product, including why it is a refreshed current-state list rather than a change feed.
What each delivery means. You receive the qualifying set as it stood on the retrieval date stated in that file. The number of qualifying sites depends on what New York City has published and varies with the operating season. There is no minimum row count. We do not promise a minimum number of added, removed or updated rows between one delivery and the next, and we send every scheduled delivery even when the set has not changed.
If we have not made the first delivery within five business days of your payment, or we supply fewer than four deliveries in a billing month, Section 9 of the Terms of Sale sets out the refund you are entitled to.
04 / Sources and methodology
The scripts read NYC Cooling Tower Registrations and cooling-tower cases in OATH Hearings Division Case Status. NYC Building Footprints supports property matching where available.
Candidates include registry-listed active systems with no publicly reported in-season sample date in the previous 37 days. They also include service-relevant OATH records within 45 days of the report date that map to a maintained category, are not dismissed and are not shown as All Terms Met.
Each pipeline run groups evidence by resolved property or site and applies consistent automated validation rules. Address-only, ambiguous, unsupported or incomplete identities are excluded from customer delivery. A long-standing condition may appear because the report describes current state, not change.
Registry-listed active systems are monitored for the 37-day public sampling-gap signal using the latest publicly reported in-season sample date.
Recent service-relevant OATH cases are evaluated against the maintained category and status rules. A prior qualifying incident on a different date within 365 days may raise confidence.
Where available, Building Footprints supports property matching. Customer rows use BBL or validated BIN identity and never contain a street address, owner name or contact detail.
